~REMI ~ The 3D Drainage Engineering Company~

Farmland drainage innovation by Remi with a green field and industrial buildings.

~The Achievement~

The quest for increased yields and the need to minimize yield loss due to drought (2012) and then excessive rain (2015, 2018 & 2019) has been experienced.  It's personal.  It's not fun.  Time for change.  The Status Quo has to Go!!

Summary of farm drainage history from Roman clay tiles to modern plastic tubes and water control.

~Lessons Learned~

Since our inception in 2021, REMI has made significant investment towards farmer success - to the benefit to the environment and in the end, the consumer - All at the same time.  Synergy with Nature.  Agricultural drain tile with attitude.

Slide discussing the need for improved subsurface drainage and better water management in agriculture.

What would the optimal system look like?

At REMI, we solve problems by starting with a clean sheet

of paper. Assume Nothing. Question Everything. Ask Why 5X. Then let things form and ferment. Everything starts on paper or a napkin!  Simplest solutions are the Best!  Tiling a farm field had been re-engineered.

Slide listing problems with current water management systems and their limitations.

~Root Cause Analysis~

No Pun intended.  But problems must be identified before

they can be solved.  Feel free to add more!!!!!

Slide outlining key features of an ideal sub-surface drainage system.

~Moisture Management~

Crops need water.   It is that simple.

Water = Crops=Money=Time

Why Wait??

Diagram illustrating the ideal polygonal profile for self-cleaning effect to prevent top-down silting.

~Self Cleaning~

By mimicking nature and observing how water velocity affects sedimentation, a self cleaning design is possible.  Water can erode a stream bank only to deposit silt on the opposite bank.  The oxbow effect.

~The Arch~

The Arch is considered one of greatest achievements in architecture.  The ribs act as an arch to hold spoil from collapsing the channel.  A "V" shape trench is needed to receive this unique shape and to capture the amount of spoil that migrates downward from settling.

~The Slots~

The ground water enters the channel via hydraulic pressure.  The constant flow across the slots, again, keeps the sediments from building up.  The bottom mimics the rapids in a stream.

~Designed to be Coiled~

This product (PolyG) is designed to be coiled and shipped in roll

form in various lengths for ease of shipment & installation.

~Our Vision~

At REMI, we envision a World where things last for a very long time, not Planned Obsolesce. Why not integrate a Clean Out so future generations can economically restore performance if need be.  An eco-friendly practice.  It's been said that Poly Pipe can last a 100 years underground, let's find out!

~System Design-(3D)~

The HydroLoK System is designed to keep the water in place where it falls, regardless of elevation.  This is (3D) versus (2D).  This allows the subsoil to be recharged in the off season.  All with one discharge (outlet) valve, no need for Water Control Structures (2D).  This valve can be remotely controlled.  Its YOUR water, YOUR Topsoil, and YOUR inputs, why let it go down the Drain?  At the same time, when its "GO TIME" open the valve and get to FARMING!

~Testing~

A laboratory test was conducted with the exact same material (course sand) to simulate the effectiveness of the new design vs the existing corrugated pipe design.  Only after 1 hour the results were clear.  Notice the inside of each vessel, the difference is staggering.  More to come!
